Cooling Design and Temperature Control of Injection Mold – March 26, 2021
Organized by SPE (Society of Plastics Engineers) Taiwan and supported by PIDC (Plastics Industry Development Center) Taiwan, Effinno Technologies made the debut of its newly developed one-day training course – Cooling Design and Temperature Control of Injection Mold – in Taichung, Taiwan, on March 26, 2021.
In terms of the cooling design of an injection mold, most mold designers in the industry jump into sizing cooling channels and soon leave after laying them out based on personal experiences or general design rules, or a simulation result, without knowing how it works.
The one-day training brought the attendees a complete revelation about the related scientific heat balance theory behind the mold cooling design and temperature control, enlightening them to know how so much else should be considered in addition to deciding a cooling channel size and layout, and encouraging them to expand their design scope to cover the capacity requirement of the corresponding mold temperature control unit (TCU) so that the designed cooling effectiveness can be ensured in real production.
